Important information for all FEI Dressage Athletes using the Degree of Difficulty (DoD): Further to the webinar we hosted last November wherein we explained the proposed changes to the Degree of Difficulty (DoD) system, Athletes now have an opportunity to see the effect of the updated DoD on their existing floorplans (you will find the recording of the November Webinar and a written summary of the changes to the DoD at the following link: Dressage webinar; https://inside.fei.org/fei/disc/dressage/webinar).

In order to familiarise yourselves with the effect that the proposed changes to the DoD may have on your freestyle floorplans, we have created a test environment to allow you to try it out by following these instructions:

* Please go to https://newdressagefreestyle.fei.org and log in with your FEI ID. The page will look and work exactly like the current freestyle creator.
* Your existing floorplans will be available to change and experiment with, and you will be able to see what effect (if any) the proposed changes to the DoD will have on your existing floorplans. Please note that floorplans modified or created in the test environment cannot be saved or assigned.
* If you would like to compare the existing and the new DoD calculation methods, we suggest you open both the current and new freestyle creators in separate windows side by side (https://dressagefreestyle.fei.org and https://newdressagefreestyle.fei.org).

Please note that any changes to the DoD calculation will not take effect at FEI events until after the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Finals in April 2026.

We invite you to send us any questions or feedback you have on the DoD changes before the end of February 2026 to dressage@fei.org
